Traditional build structural engineers
Whether you are embarking on a commercial project, a renovation or a new build, a structural engineer is an essential member of your building team. Architects and building contractors need a structural engineer to ensure what they are building will be structurally sound. Our traditional build structural engineers work with contractors and architects on extensions and new builds.
One prime example of our work is Ingress Park in Kent. The structure we worked on is a Grade II listed abbey comprising of one, two and three-bedroom apartments as well as three and four-bedroom houses on the river Thames.
Our traditional build structural engineers worked on many elements, from the bay and oriel windows to veranda-style balconies and elegant orangeries. We worked on refurbishing the Abbey and Coach house, giving specific attention to English Heritage. After this we worked on the Orangery because it needed to be completely replaced. Due to the building being listed we ensured we stayed true to the orangery’s geometry. This proved to be a challenge due to the historic roof shape. If you would like us to provide our services for your traditional build, please do not hesitate to contact us.
